• Back in the fall of 2009, Kongefamilien recorded it's first CD at a place called "Laidback Studios". We were just getting started with this incarnation of the family. We had some well-rehearsed songs and some structure, or so we thought. Jørgen was new to us and we were new to him. We were a client after all. He had a lot of ideas of what we could do with our songs. He even played a couple of guitar tracks on two of our numbers. But the border that lies between producer, engineer, musician, and friend was not so clearly defined. He didn't know how far he push us, we had no producer and no one to call the shots.
• In spite of this Jørgen pushed us and helped us grow our sound. A year and a half later we had grown into an entirely different beast all together. We were clearer with our ideas more confident and could really make a roar. It was time to look for another studio. We decided to try our luck again with Jørgen, hoping that little bit of creative history could come into play. We showed up with 16 original songs. Jørgen liked what he heard, but this time the gloves were off. We were all collaborating, mixing it up. A week later Jørgen joined Kongefamilien! The chemistry and creative musical energy has never been better. Musical brothers ready to take on the world!
